Daily Gain Of Healthy, Ranch-Weaned, Previously Creep Fed Cattle

Researchers at the Iowa State University reported that creep feeding can improve weaning weight by 60-100 lbs. Response to creep feed depends on forage quality, dam’s milking ability, and calf genetics. Feed efficiency of creep fed calves depends on these factors as well and feed intake is ideal near 1.5% of bodyweight.
